Maths Week

Maths Week 2015 was a huge success! Children travelled to the Youth Café and Sweeney’s to spend their money and consolidate the money strand of the curriculum. Activities throughout the week demonstrated how maths can be both fun and useful. We had a bake sale on the Friday and the proceeds are going to St. Vincent De Paul. A big thank you to all the parents/guardians and children for their co-operation in making this a very enjoyable and educational week for all.

Offaly Cross Country Athletics Competition

On Thursday 1st October, boys and girls from Scoil Bhríde travelled to Tullamore Harriers to take part in the Offaly Cross Country Athletics competition.  32 boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class made the trip and competed in various distances throughout the day. It was an enjoyable day out for all involved and a huge well done to all the boys and girls who ran so well on the day.

On Monday 15th June we were honoured to welcome the Minister of Education Jan O’Sullivan and Bishop Denis Nulty to officially open our new school. A lot of preparation was undertaken to prepare for our big day. It was an important and exciting day for our school and we would like to thank all those who attended and who were involved. We would like to give a special thanks to our school choir and band who performed on the day.  A great day was had by all!
