New Maths Curriculum (PMC)
The new Primary Maths Curriculum (PMC) has been introduced as part of the Department of Education’s updating of the primary school curriculum which is in place since 1999. The Department of Education has published this leaflet and short video (4 minutes) explaining everything parents need to know.

Letter to Schools re Scoping Report

Reopening for 2024/2025 School Year- Thursday 29th August
Scoil Bhríde P.S. reopens for the new 2024/2025 school year on Thursday 29th August for all students.
School will begin for children from Senior infants to 6th class at 8:50am as normal.
Junior infants commencing school will attend at the following times for the first and second weeks:
Week 1: Thursday 29th August & Friday 30th August. 9.30am – 11.30am (collection from
front door).
Week 2: Monday 2nd September to Wednesday 4th September. 9:15am – 12:00pm (collection from basketball court).
Thursday 5th & Friday 6th September. 9:15am – 1.30 pm (collection from basketball court).
Thereafter, the Junior infant school day is from 8:50 am to 1:30 pm.

Blue Star Progamme
Blue Star Visit!
We were incredibly lucky to welcome Croatian Ambassador, Mr. Davor Vidiš, Minister Eamon Ryan, Senator Pippa Hackett and Cllr Mark Hackett to our school on Friday, May 10th, as recognition for our work on the Blue Star Programme, Green Schools and Safe Routes to School. They praised all of the great work being done across the school in these areas and spoke to the children about their work!
St. Brigid’s Day in Scoil Bhríde
Fr. Lawton and Deacon Wyer joined us to celebrate a special mass for St Brigid’s Day. Before the ceremony Fr. Lawton blessed our Brat Bhríde/St Brigid’s Cloak sculpture which sits in front of our school.
