Rainbow Day at Scoil Bhríde

On Friday April 28th, we had a Rainbow Day in aid of LOFFA Autism Awareness. All staff and students were asked to wear rainbow clothes on the day. The school was a sea of colour on the day!

Seachtain na Gaeilge at Scoil Bhríde

On the week of March 13th – 16th, we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge. The Irish team organised a variety of activities including scéalta Gaeilge (Irish stories), yoga as Gaeilge, colouring competitions, Irish dancing, table quizzes and board games. On Wednesday, each class group performed a song or poem for other classes. The week concluded on Thursday with a ‘Lá Glas’ (Green Day) and a concert by ‘The Celtic Gypsys’. Bhí seachtain iontach ag gach duine!!

World Book Day 2023

We had a great day last Thursday celebrating World Book Day. Many teachers and students dressed up as a character from one of their favourite books. By far, the most popular outfits were Matilda and Miss Trunchbull! There was one winning outfit selected in each class, and all of the winners got a free book token for the book fair coming to the school from March 27th – 31st. Well done to everyone who took part!

Astro Development

Over the next few months, we will be commencing a project to develop an all-weather Astro facility on the school grounds. This will include a pitch, track, lights and a ball wall. In order to raise money, we are having a Family Friendly Fundraiser Night at the Dogs on Friday June 9th at Newbridge Greyhound stadium. All are welcome on the night. Tickets cost €15 and every ticket sold will be entered into a draw for the great prize of €1000. All support for this project would be greatly appreciated. Tickets can be purchased online on our website or at school reception from Monday March 6th. Further details in relation to the actual night will be announced closer to the time. If you would like to purchase a ticket, make a donation or see our sponsorship options, please contact Scoil Bhríde reception. Please enjoy our video explaining why we need this new pitch! Thank you for your support.
