On Monday 15th June we were honoured to welcome the Minister of Education Jan O’Sullivan and Bishop Denis Nulty to officially open our new school. A lot of preparation was undertaken to prepare for our big day. It was an important and exciting day for our school and we would like to thank all those who attended and who were involved. We would like to give a special thanks to our school choir and band who performed on the day. A great day was had by all!

On Friday the 12th of June, our athletics team travelled to The Harriers Athletics Club in Tullamore. Here, we competed against other schools from around the county in events such as the 80 metres and 600 metres sprint race, relay race, the long jump and the shot put. On the day, despite the tough competition, our boys’ team placed 7th based on overall points received in the various events. The hard work and training from all the boys and girls involved paid off. A great enjoyable day was had by everyone. Well done to all!

The Confirmation for 6th Class students took place on Saturday the 30th May. On what was a special day for all involved (as this was Scoil Bhríde’s first ever Confirmation), the occasion was a great celebration of our school’s Catholic Faith. Well done to all the students and their parents for their preparation leading up to this very special Sacrament. A very enjoyable day was had by all!
