4th Green Flag for Scoil Bhríde

Yesterday, the Green Schools Committee at Scoil Bhríde raised its 4th Green Flag. This flag is the ‘Travel Flag’ and it was awarded to the school for the great effort it makes to promote better, more sustainable ways of travelling to school. This is a big achievement and it showcases one of the many ways in which the school works to care for our environment. Congratulations to everyone involved!

 

Parents’ Association AGM – Volunteers Needed!

The Parents’ Association will hold its AGM on Wednesday October 20th. Any parents wishing to join the Zoom meeting to email us @ edenderry.sbpa@gmail.com and we will send them a Zoom invite.

 

A lot has changed over the past years. Yet, we continue to rely on the generous support of our school community.

 

Without the Parents’ Association activities such as school discos, Christmas parties, Easter events, Movie nights, quiz nights, 6th class graduation and end of year parties will cease to exist. The Parents’ Association this year have provided funding to the school garden and also a whole school music programme called Dabbledoo.

We seriously need fresh volunteers so that we can continue our support for the school. Without volunteers this year, the Parents’ Association could cease to exist, which would be very disappointing for the whole school community.

  • In the event that Scoil Bhríde PS has an unplanned closure(s) due to adverse weather conditions, the school may compensate for up to 3 days closure during the first three days of the Easter Holidays, i.e. the school will remain open on either or all of the 11th, 12th and 13th of April 2022.

 

  • Dates for First Holy Communion & Confirmation yet to be confirmed.

 

  • Relevant parents will be notified of Stage 3 meeting times by class teachers / resource teachers.

 

  • In consultation with the Chairperson of the Board of Management, the Principal reserves the right to make any future amendments to this list of closures and events.

 

 

WOW Day

Tomorrow Wednesday, May 25th is WOW (Walk on Wednesdays) day at Scoil Bhríde. As part of our work towards earning our Transport flag we are holding a WOW day. We are encouraging all students and their families to walk all or some of their journey to school!

Scoot to School

 

Scoil Bhride participated in National Scoot to School Week which ran from 22nd to 26th March 2021. National SOW Day (Scoot on Wednesdays/Weekdays) was held on Wednesday 24 March. A big well done to all the pupils who scooted to school. It was great to see so many of you scooting! We are now another step closer to receiving our Travel Flag.

Application and Decision Dates for admission to Scoil Bhríde

The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants

The school will commence accepting applications for admission on 14th January 2021
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on 4th February 2021
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is 25th February 2021
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is 4th March 2021

Early Intervention & ASD Primary Class Application and Decision Dates for admission to 2021-2022

The school will commence accepting applications for admission to the ASD Primary classes/Early Intervention Class on 14th January 2021
The school shall cease accepting applications for admission to the ASD Primary classes/Early Intervention Class on 24th February 2021 @10.00am
The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application for admission to the ASD Primary classes/Early Intervention Class is 5th march  2021
The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is 12th March 2021
